so what will be happening for the coming weeks? answer: duties, one after another. im starting to get immuned to it, as if i signed extras for all the sins ive done. the number of regimental duties i get is what others will probably get punished for their wrongdoings. theres nothing i can say to voice out, no appropriate channel for people like me to feedback. well i guess thats what the way life will be till i end my service.
this weekend was good i should say. friday was shitty though but given the half-day off sort of compensated for everything. i felt very grumpy the whole morning because i had to wake up at freaking 3.30 in the morning to prepare for set-off! the slow journey took about an hour to reach ecp and by the time i reach, i could feel the zzz-monster breaking in. the run ended pretty soon while i was slacking around, trying very hard to figure out how a professional camera functions. i have no idea how to operate it.
met up with my coursemates on saturday after the ecp run, organised for the competitive runners. im dead, my legs arent listening to the command. hahaha the engine seems dead and i guess sooner or later, the situation may worsen. we shall see. late lunch at the old-school nydc, i remember it as one of the hottest place to eat during the sec school days. back then marche and nydc were super hip. anyways, the potato salad was disappointing and i have no clue what im eating. sometimes theres chunks of potato cubes then sometimes theres bits of egg. wth? guess starbucks prepares it better =)
ion orchard was terrible. like any other singaporeans, we took the opportunity to explore but to no avail, the experience was spoilt by the sardine-packed crowd. take for example when vivocity and changi airport terminal 3 first had its soft-opening, its just that crowded. the people are trying on new brand labels, taking free samples and queuing up for the latest food joint. its so so stupid. they aren't a single bit shameful? i mean whats the point of getting all so excited about the new mall when you know that it will be there and just THERE? i very much wanted to get out of the place and we did. everywheres so crowded, its impressive but the crowd - NO NO!
we headed off to some other less-crowded places like... OC (orchard central) which is disappointing haha... huge mall but little stuffs, its either they are trying to waste the space or the shops are still not ready for opening. whatever it is the aircon there is damn shiok, i cooled down immediately just ten steps into the mall. besides that nothing so good to talk about.
we walked around and dinner at din tai fung. super good, i love the chili crab dumplings! guess the last time i had steamed dumpling was 3 years ago or more, cant remember. thereafter was a session at the balcony. the places disappointing la, haha aircon was terrible and the service was upsetting because i always thought the place is good and only until i went there with my friends once and now another time did i realise that its not so good.
alright i shall update soon again. duty on friday till saturday morning then ill be checking in to ritz-carlton for the weekend! looking forward to it because the coming week will be hectic and filled with duties. heck!
