an oriental twist
Sunday, May 10, 2009 .::. A Happy Week. A Happy Mother's Day!

back for an update before booking in and slogging my ass off for the final field camp coming on tuesday and ending on thursday. its going to be an assessment, probably to see how well we perform but i really see no point in having to do so. reason being: we have been assessed to many times and each time, it doesnt seem to make any difference. even so i dont know why we have to be so well-versed in everything but then im quite certain that it may or may not be something that we will be doing for the remaining days in army. but anyway, i shall just make do with it for now and hopefully this and the coming week can pass by smoothly and then i will pass out successfully from this camp.

booked out on thursday late-night at 2200hours because i was one of those who failed one of the last tests. it was a good retest i guess because it made me understand alot better about the theory and practical stuffs of survey. sometimes things just have to be like that to make me, okay, to make us learn. just say im lucky enough to pass the previous tests and escape from the weekends retests la. we could have left earlier but because of the rear-gate timing, we waited and waited and at the same time, pack our stuffs slowly lor.

met up with my coursemates to sew the rank on friday. really good to hang out with this bunch of people! lunched at the army market's hawker centre. none of us were sure where the exact location is, so we made one big round before reaching. and where? its the place opposite golden mile, what the hell right? anyway, we went off after getting things done and headed off to suntec city. weather was freaking hot that day, couldnt tahan at all. somemore we walked all the way from lavender to suntec because there was only one stupid bus service and the nearest stop is opposite raffles hotel. bought some stuffs home and cabbed back with my sister.

dinner at outback steakhouse, damn fun. we spent almost the entire evening there la but because two had to leave earlier to meet their other friends, we left pretty early at around close to 10.

yesterday was mother's day celebration. we had a hard time deciding where to go because we knew it would be crowded everywhere. initially was sushi tei but we know the place will be very very crowded so we struck it off the list. made a list of places to eat and checked out, we finally settled for olive tree at intercontinental. haha, the place serves unexpectedly good food even though there wasnt much variety and i read somewhere that they just switched from mediterranean cuisine to international. their desserts were good, especially the opera cake and the bread&butter pudding!

nothing much today, just trying to catch up with tv shows online, especially ai jiu zai yi qi and paris hilton's new bff. thats about it for this week i guess. hahah not much mood to blog also because the weather is so hot and the laptop's brightness is too bright! till then, seeya! and oh, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all mothers!!!
