an oriental twist

the urge to blog has been destroyed by the power of my comp getting totally corrupted by too many applications, causing it to hang terribly each time i want to login to my msn, check emails and blog. sometimes i got this urge to search for something or to click on an attractive link but once it hangs, i totally forgot about it because i was too engrossed into fixing the goddamn problem. shit this comp since the day i first started blogging. yes thats right, you are right, i have been using the same comp since i started blogging coming five years ago and for your information, i think my current desktop has been with my family for coming 10 years i suppose? i cant remember la but its been here since the day my sister went poly and i went secondary school. however the monitor is not the big screen shit, we've managed to upgrade it by switching to a lcd screen. sigh, i just told my mom that i really want to replace this old shit of mine and probably use the laptop at home forever. saves space and infinite memory space!

hence all of the above caused me to not blog religiously like how i follow up with other people's blogs and reading up on news and gossips. there's just so much to do, especially to read up and understand the never-ending steps to apply for a university. its hectic i guess, if i want to try out overseas school. so many things to submit and many other processes to go through. i wonder if i should start planning now, get help or i'd rather die and beg for a place from them when the time comes. when everyone else has already gone to school, im still at home fighting for my life just for a place in the school. anyways, its pretty sad to see how my other army friends who have already gotten places in local uni. my goodness, im so many steps slower than them! not to worry since right now, no uni is offering whatever i wanna study besides sim which would mean, chances of me going overseas is slightly higher but who knows when will singapore actually plan to open a new uni just for my industry because of the booming tourism and the expensive integrated resorts, right? we'll see...

ive been slacking quite abit or rather alot for the last few weeks. other than the usual outfield once every week i think the remaining days were spent either in classrooms or enjoying life away. in fact i think im really lucky to be in this unit even though i know i will sooner or later get posted out. actually i dont wish to get posted out, prefer staying at khatib camp forever and meet familiar faces. pros and cons la of course but its more homely you know. oh well, last friday was national education at sentosa - fort siloso. freaking lame but we went playing at the beach instead. its been so many years since i last stepped onto the soil, okay nvm sand, of that island. its nice but the weathers a bitch. i couldnt really stand the blistering sun that much even though im in the army. sorry to say but my course is just "life enjoyment" to a certain extent. we've got trainings of course but its by far what i see preferred in army la. everytime people ask what we do and once given our reply, the jealousy shows on their faces. okay, sentosa was damn fun i should say, totally unexpected but it was fun. soccer and volleyball, im an idiot to both because its been really long since i last played but nonetheless the running after the volleyball was fun. the warm breeze did help to cool down abit though. anyway it was a quick day la when initially i thought it would take a long long time to end this initially-thought lame outing. aiya, fun times always end alot earlier than tough times. tsk. thereafter we got splitted up and went on with our own activities. and with ours in mind already planned way before the outing, we went marche. very very disappointing experience because marche should now really close down and think of breaking new ideas in order to replace the old one at heeren. the food is not exactly terrible but the variety they offer is full of shit. my all time favourite - boneless chicken which has now been replaced by some kampung chicken, whole chicken somemore and then my waffle with maple syrup topped with ice-cream and charmaine's recommended bananas gone! oh my god, how can this ever happen to marche when this basic stuffs are not offered? back then when marche was still at heeren, i would know what to eat and where to head to but that experience at the new-marche really made me turn round and round searching for food to eat. the calamari rings was also another to be mentioned dish. they have become so huge and thick, the batter is not very nice and whatever it is, it doesnt bring back any single bit of good marche memories la. i dont think i'll ever be going back there for food besides the worthwhile crepe which i ordered. sigh...

shopping around followed and i bought a new gap tee which has the same design as the two i have at home. its comfy and simple so who cares plus it came with a 30 percent discount because FJ was celebrating their anniversary. good deal indeed so lucky me i didnt buy the top at topman!

nothing much over the weekend other than saturday when i drove for the first time to marina square ever since i passed my driving a year plus ago. HAHA... lunched at pan pac's keyaki and we saw this taiwanese makeup artist who appears on the "women first" or something, cant remember the show name. anyway it was a hearty meal at keyaki. went walking around and then to fred perry, so this time i shopped for a new top from the spring/summer 2009 collection which comes with member's 20percent off. hahahah...

then today got to book out early because of the off-in-lieu for vesak day so long weekend. it wasnt a very fantastic day when i thought it would be in the morning but i spoiled it all. sigh im feeling guilty still, not just to my fellow coursemates but also to one of my sergeants. it would be weird to apologise and i was all-ready to be punished the moment i went down with my friend but... we didnt. he even spoke nicely to us and i was like "what the hell is happening?" unexpected sight la i should say. aiya i think i should go and talk to my sergeant when i see him next week. ive been feeling really bad for whatever ive done because i think ive been very vocal until no one actually believes im from the hospitality and tourism industry and is still interested in pursuing it as a long-term career thing. alamak, its very different one what cos afterall its friends and work, a separate matter of stuff. however i guess one of the greatest achievements so far in my current course is that ive managed to help two persons get gold timing for their 2.4km run today and thats by far what made me really happy today.

tomorrow will be another day of enjoyment i hope. meeting my current coursemates for lunch and some other stuffs for the rest of the day. hopefully we'll get to enjoy and not be feeling shitty even after having to see one another for the past almost 72 hours.

there are so many things i want to do but really when i think about it, do i have a proper time management or is it that i just dont have time to do it? at this point of time, i just pray really hard i can pass out successfully on 22 may and enjoy my remaining days in the army as much as i can. though tons of complaints and rants but i think i enjoy it la. now thinking back, those days in bmt and sispec were good so i guess after the end of this course, i will cherish even more for what life as a trainee is despite the fact that ive always been the lowest life-form in army since the day in enlisted as a chao-recruit.

alright its time to logoff and do something else. shall update again soon! have a great weekend ahead everyone!!! =)
