olympics are finally over and there isnt much tv craving for me except the few hong kong dramas. so sian because right now, i have nothing much to look forward to. i cant glue myself to multiple shows because i will never be able to catch them after i get enlisted. oh man... my days are really numbered and i know very well it will be a complete struggle la. hahaha, all the best to me and thats all i can say.
anyway, i was like finally out yesterday! so happy that i was able to step onto the grounds of orchard man. i cant believe i went back there for pure walking, eating and talking. i didnt shop, honestly. my cousin pat was doing her shopping and the stuffs are quite expensive after the sale season. and for all we know, the latest colour for the coming season is PURPLE! haha, its purple everywhere or else, there are some olive colours. that was one of the greatest achievements for the day. as from her blog, it was alot of walking from orchard to somerset and back and again. went to visit my friends at mandarin which was great! i havent seen them for almost two months and it was good i could sneak in there (wasnt allowed to). it was a short while and so many changes already. going back made me think of those fun days and horrible days. haha but all in all, it was a happy learning experience.
oh yes, we had early dinner at a good pasta place - ambush! super nice food and the portion was just as good! it didnt make me drink glasses of water and the sauce was perfect! i know im going back for more because when i was home, i wanted somemore la. hahaha so pat, we must go back there again! went to a couple to places to check out clothings and such. PURPLE is really the "in" colour now, trust me.
then we went to check out the mooncakes at marriott. i really like the atap seed mooncake's atap seeds. the ebony whisky is quite good too! i love strawberry yoghurt the most! okay la, we didnt become those aunties trying out all the flavours. we were well-served by this nice SHATEC trainee aka my junior. oh then clever me suggested desserts at the lobby lounge. cheesecake was the main point in fact and here goes the story...
the desserts and tea cost us 40 bucks and we know its crazy! hahaha our gourmet tea was super nicely presented in a porcelain pot and of course, the sugar cubes, honey (pat loves this most) and the toasted or whatever dried up but pretty good-tasting fruit cake. anyways, yah we spent the rest of the evening there. wanted to catch a movie but it was either no more slots or we cant make it to the cinema on time. sigh...
in about 3 hours' time, im going to be up and 0830hours is my holiday flight! yayness, its a holiday and probably the only one i can have before i go to the wonderful place called fairyland pulau tekong. what a tragic! will be back on sunday so till then i hope time will pass as slow as possible and let me enjoy as much as i can. even though its summer but i know it will be a great trip!
pat! singing, movie and mooncakes when im back okay? the rest of my friends (usual clan) to meet up soon for dinner and thatha's birthday! seeya! =)
