an oriental twist
Friday, August 15, 2008 .::. Go Singapore!
before i head to bed, i shall blog something in my neglected blog ever since national day.

been rather busy la, i can say, with the renovation works at home. its horrible because after each phase, we got to clean up the mess created and the place is extremely dusty. (note: extremely) and because i dont have a maid, from indonesia or philippines either one, we had to D.I.O - Do It Ourselves la of course. i cant believe it can be so so tiring after, probably, mopping one room or cleaning one whole cabinet and apparently, the dust and all can make my nostrils blocked with nose-shit. and i swear now that i will never want to try renovating the house while im staying. the work, time and effort are enough to cover all the gym works. its even worse than running on the treadmill for 20 minutes my goodness!

and as mentioned ive been home and will always be near home until i get enlisted. sad to say, its just one month away and i havent achieve much. friends are busy at work or busy with their own arrangements and the much-anticipated picnic we planned was *ting!* gone! the weather was so undecisive and planning a picnic isnt easy la. food, drinks, ice and stuffs it got to be successful or else it will be for nothing right?

cant really use my desktop to blog cos i dont have a chair in the room right now. the parquet floorings in the rooms just got polished and it smell like a new home. today shall begin the marble polishing for the living area and the hallway. sigh, its another day of WORK again! such a chore la and i seriously hate it. but all these will return us with the comfort and new designs. i think i shall invite people over soon. hahahaha... if i have the sincerity to also.

oh yes, i did achieve something which is to catch my favourite olympic sport - swimming! very exciting and in my mind i cheer for the countries i favour. of course, i have to glue myself to the television when michael phelps compete. he is like a fish la! he can swim so damn well (okay as in fast) and broke so many olympic and world records. *salutes* not just to him, i think the rest did well also, especially the aussie girls team which had stephanie rice in there for the 4X200m relay that also broke the world record. and oh, not forgetting the china, japan and our singapore team which was represented by tao li who is the fifth fastest swimmer in the world. im really proud of her even tough she did not win in the finals.

lastly, i just hope and pray that the table-tennis team can bring back a medal or two from the games. be it gold, silver or bronze. a medal would make a huge difference to the singapore sports history and a benchmark for the fellow sportsman/sportswoman as well as the young ones. hope today brings good news to us again from beijing! till then, its bedtime!
