an oriental twist
Wednesday, August 20, 2008 .::. Days are numbered
as my days of freedom are numbered and as the olympic games are coming to an end real soon, i hope i can enjoy as much as i can without worrying a single bit. the feeling is as if deciding a serious matter and serving the nation will definitely not be easy. so as usual, i shall just pray for the better and hopefully things will be good.

my favourite sport events are mostly over (such as swimming, table tennis and synchronised diving), there isnt much to catch on the olympic channels already. most are just repeats or sports that im not very interested in. sigh this comes only once every four years and it will end so quickly, but im glad im able to catch most of them before i get enlisted.

anyway, last week was a good ending because we had an advanced celebration for my mom's (and my sis i think) birthday. moms on 22 and sis on 23 aug. had dinner at the fullerton hotel and i can say its a good place to dine! moreover it was on the table-tennis finals (sin vs chn) so there wasnt much people around and on the roads. okay, i thought it would be very sad that i wont be able to catch the full coverage of the important match. haha, the dinner spread was quite amazing as they had quite a variety plus prawn tempura! *slurps* we dug into the feast and it was worth the amount. the ambience (singapore river just next, decors, much lesser people), food and service were almost perfect. and while i was waiting for the pasta to be prepared, something caught my eyes. it was the TELEVISION showing the table-tennis match! haha, i left my bread on the pasta "live" station and headed to the side lounge for the tv. good! they switched the channel to the match and from then, i spent most of my time checking out the match results and the entire victory ceremony. the singapore team standing on the podium, having the silver medal around their necks and seeing the singapore flag flying in glory, it was indeed a touching moment.

then came monday and tuesday when i realised that my favourite games were over so, i had to change channels often and it was quite boring la. im looking forward to the table-tennis match later on with our local team again and also the closing ceremony. a pity i didnt manage to watch the final race of swimming on sunday morning.

guess i shall end my entry here and continue watching my show. nothing much happened but the renovation works have finally completed! results? satisfied so now i can invite whoever is interested to take a look at my house/room. update soon! have a great day! =)

oooh... my ipod low-batt! haha i havent been using it for coming a month! didnt upload songs either.. idiiiioot!
