the "no-nonsense" senior duty manager, milaas my journey with one of the world's most celebrated hotels - Meritus Mandarin Singapore, it has really been a great one-year even though i thought i almost got into depression and even give up. well, it all came right at the start immediately after signing the contract. i thought i joined the wrong organisation...
anyway this hotel is definitely a good learning ground and stepping stone to the hospitality industry. i have no regrets because i know i have learnt much more than any of my other classmates who are in the other hotels. its just tons and tons of work to do and follow-ups. its really how a hotel with such a huge scale works, and whats more when its undergoing renovations? so many impromptu situations... (shant mention for a five-star hotel)
oh well since it has already ended a week ago, im glad ive left the place leaving great memories and impression. i will definitely miss the days when i see the striking red cheongsam which is such an icon. as iconic as the singapore airlines girls. i will miss my days spent there - fruitful year indeed.
and yes, my last day was well spent with my fellow trainees and colleagues. claimed hours as hotel was running pretty low occupancy and they had NO CHOICE but to let me off cos it was my last day. erm, drinks at mezebar and supper at chatterbox. had lots of fun and mocking. the whole session was just enjoy, fun and laughter. but really thanks to all of them.
haven been blogging much lately cos ive been trying my best to finish up my thesis. the number of words is not increasing at all and ive already tried my best to recall what ive done. hopefully it gets done before the due date, or else... i will die real badly. and yah, theres actually alot more photos which i didnt post but will do soon. very hectic you know.
alright, this coming week is going to be a money-spending week. im going to be so so broke because of the following...:
