an oriental twist

I'm back after sooooo long. It's been eons since I last updated my pathetic blog. I guess no one actually visits my blog now because there's seriously NO = ZERO updates about my life.

So life is rather packed everyday, so busy that I have no time for anything. Yes, exhaustion is included because the moment you put down your work, you scan your pass and out of the hotel, you feel so tired. It's as if you just completed a huge construction project. (Well I suppose it feels that way) It's already September, marking the third month in Meritus Mandarin, a giant hotel. Ended my happy life in Chatterbox, most miserable life in banquet and here I am right now, at Observation Lounge 38th floor. I enjoy working there pretty much because all I had to do was to welcome the guests, either bring them to a seat or up to Top of the M at 39th floor and take orders. Okay, that's for now because I will be starting as a bartender this week. That will also mean I have to try to remember the concoction for cocktails and mocktails. Shit, I think I will pee in my pants if orders just come to me. You know, business there is crazy. This minute you just slack around, the next second, the lounge just fills up. It's insane.

My driving test is coming in 14 days' time. Kinda scared because the last time I had lesson was in May? Hahah, I shall buck up for the coming driving lessons to make sure I drive like I already hold a licence. Better pray hard I pass, otherwise I can just shoot myself and die. It is so expensive okay!

For the past months, I celebrated my mother's as well as my sister's birthday. Guess it was quite a good celebration with dinner and presents. I even made a card for my sister. Hahaha. And I spent too much on cakes at Marriott and Canele. Think half of my pay is gone because of such treats.

Then comes the mooncake festival, where you see mooncakes being sold everywhere like hotcakes. Haha, I'm smart this year because I placed my order on the first day of launch if not history will repeat. Thanks to my friend for the help, seriously.

Oh yes before I forget, I met up with my friends once a month. It wasn't a pact/deal but we just managed to. It was really nice spending time with them, sharing all sorts of jokes and stories. I miss those days in school hearing them scream, laugh and being rude to one another. How I wish I can go back to school again... *Ponders* And because of them, we had Thai Express for dinner for both meetings. Sadly, two of them couldn't join us due to work. I wonder how they are doing right now because the thought of them just reminds me of happy times in school.

Chatting with my long-lost-contact-good friend, Geraldine Wang. She is telling me her life story in Marriott. And talking about that person she finds "er-xin", I find him irritating too. My days in Marriott in 2004/2005 were dashed by him because he just makes a big fuss over a molehill. He's a geek, he's very disgusting and awfully old-fashion. Hahaha, walks from Dhoby Ghaut to Marriott everyday, can you imagine?

And finally after I miss the last season of my bag, I got it today with the help of internet and my parents. Then I went on to spend my salary on another polo collection. Hahah, okay la just let me treat myself to something after all the "sacrifices" I've made ever since my attachment started.

Till then, I shall update again! Do visit me at Meritus Mandarin - Observation Lounge/Top of the M (38th/39th floor). Laters.
