an oriental twist

Today marks the end of the SHATEC life that brought me through so many wonderful journeys. I shall now bid farewell to this pathetic school, from inside to outside and get ready to be greeted and welcomed by Meritus Mandarin.

It was supposedly a happy day that everything is just going.. going to end once and for all. All the stupid faces, dirty looks, fakers and all the others will just go away for once. I may not even see them after the attachment, so that's something to celebrate about. At least I don't have to deal with all those shit they give, the "kindness" they gave for once and then turn their back at you the next. I know the industry will be something more terrifying than this, but I feel that I am prepared. After all the advices I get from teachers and friends, I ought to stay and remain strong and of course, stop my bitching. Yes, I do that a lot in school and I have to quit it soon. It's so addictive, like how I love sweet stuffs.

Anyway, today was not really the "CryDay". It was rather a moment for us to relief the past, share about it, joy over it and keep in contact. Definitely, I will keep in touch with some of those whom I closed to like those who sat around me, did projects together and so on. I really cannot promise that I will and can keep in touch with them, but at least a promise was made. That will, sort of, motivate me when I start the attachment.

Now, I have managed to tune my feelings and emotions back to normal. Not that I cannot adapt to drastic changes, but just affected by some of my friends. All I am looking forward now will be Yokoso-ing Japan on Monday until Sunday. Hahaha, and the Monday after this will be attachment. I know I will dread going to Orchard from then onwards (saying from my past experience at Marriott), but I know it will be tough, perhaps tougher than at the other hotels. It's part of a learning journey and it doesn't matter which hotel I am in. Life in some super hotels may even be worse, right? :))

My friends are leaving for home, Hong Kong, Korea, China and Maldives. Wow, it has always been this case but this time its different. We won't be able to talk about our trips and all, sharing all sorts of funny incidents during the flight. Oh well... I can't even meet up with my friends during the holidays. The timing clashes. Mmmm......

Have to start packing for my holiday and then prepare to celebrate my dearest cousin, Pat's birthday this Sunday before I leave. Alright I am going to watch my show and I shall blog soon! Oh by the way, my cousin told me about the world's largest hotel, and I've checked. The current titleholder is the First World Hotel at Genting Highlands with about 6110 odd rooms. However, it will be defeated soon by a project in Dubai called, Bawadi, with many different hotels from three-stars to five-stars, separated into the different continents and each hotel will feature an icon of a city or continent. Check it out here, the soon-to-become world's largest hotel will have 6500 rooms called Asia-Asia Hotel.

Lastly, thanks to all my classmates for the two years. It has been pathetic, yet memorable. I am not heartless okay. Hahaha. Happy holidays everyone and a new chapter will start soon!
