Weekends always pass by faster than any other days. And the faster time flies, the sooner I will have to submit projects, do my examination and then holidays. I remember vividly reading this fact from the Guiness Book of World Records. It says that the present day is always slower than the previous days. Seriously, I have no idea if this is true or not but since its in the books, then I guess I will believe sixty percent of it? Oh well, no matter what, we still have to live for each and every day (happily) right? Okay, this weekend was rather busy in the sense that I don't spend my time idling at home doing nothing. On Friday, my class had this "lelong" thing. The thing goes like this, you bring an item you dont use at home and have left it there for quite a long time and wish to get rid of it, bring it to school and "exchange" for something else you like, using the five coupons. The items exchanged come from the other classmates, so basically some things are rather old. So, I had nothing to give to anyone from my house (I did my spring-cleaning not long ago, mind you). I went to Cold Storage to get something and I got a cactus after thinking and thinking for days. The day came and yup, I placed my coupons on the items I want to have, but unfortunately I was dumb enough to put four coupons on an item and I didn't get it. It was a "leather" (PVC) photoframe from Raffles Dubai contributed by my teacher. It was all wasted, but good thing was I got a vase from IKEA (you know the very popular colourful sleek and slender, curvy vase?). Anyways, that was all I got from the "lelong". Sadly, the other stuffs are things I won't want to have. Then on Saturday, I replenished by energy by sleeping till afternoon. Went out to celebrate my friend's birthday with an old classmate at Changi Village Hotel. The journey reminded me of the IMF period and yes, I met Sulaiman at T2! Hahaha, he asked me where I was heading to, I said going to work for IMF. Oh, he was with me during the IMF period at the airport lounge. We had loads of fun then. I went to the hotel counter to ask for the shuttle service and someone came to pick me up. Cool eh? I was told to sit down and wait for someone, totally like a just-arrived guest. The ride was super fast, uncle was like driving a sports car la and I was the only one onboard the shuttle. Anyways, I arrived early at the hotel so I went up to the restaurant. We were supposed to dine alfresco but it was damn crowded and the views were all blocked by concrete walls, medium-sized cactus and the weather was like typhoon. So I asked the person to change us up to the second level, with more privacy. I went downstairs to loiter around because I was so damn bored upstairs. There came EricaChua and her boyfriend, Ian. Okay, both of them really dressed up and we headed up together. We started chatting and laughing before the birthday girl comes. We were all waiting to see what she will be wearing. HENG AH~ She didn't disappoint us. After Mary Ann came, we started chatting and laughing away. The table behind was was occupied by this rich family, so yeah just nice, they were quiet. We chat for about an hour before ordering our food? Hahaha, we had our orders taken and it was pretty quick. The food was damn good. The appertiser was superb, I even ate the tomatoes! I had crabmeat linguine and I tell you, it worth all the while travelling from so far. The crabmeat is like the size of more than a fifty-cents coin and its ALOT, the creamy tomato sauce is fantastic. We tried out a little of one another's item. EricaChua's shell pasta with chicken and sun-dried tomato was good, Ian's seabass was totall fresh and crispy and Mary Ann's vegetarian pasta was well, one of the vegetarian Italian cuisine I will try out. We also ordered a bottle of dessert wine to complement the cake. The birthday cake for Mary Ann was from Awfully Chocolate, it was delicious, full-chocolate and cherries. We toasted with the dessert wine. The company and atmosphere was really there and we had so much to talk about. Took photos and so on. We ended the dinner at about 10.30pm and cabbed down to Swissotel The Stamford. EricaChua and Ian were meeting their friends there for drinks while I went home with MA. Was super tired but still watched S.H.E's Hong Kong's concert. There came the next day, Sunday. Woke up early because I had to take the FTT Trial Test. Went there, took the test and I passed. I can't book the FTT because the whole school's system was down, during the test, we had to use paper and pencil okay! NO touch-screen system. After that, my mom and sis picked me up and went for lunch at Jack's Place. The lunch was sumptuous. Then we went to the new AMK Hub. There are quite a number of shops there and it's quite good for a neighbourhood to have all those. We didn't do much shopping there, so we went on to CWP. Still as crowded so we came home after buying those stuffs we want. Okay, I've ran out of ideas. Shall pack my bag and go to sleep soon! Laters.
