an oriental twist

Ahhhh... I haven't been able to use the internet for the past two or three days. The connection had some problem since Sunday night and I felt as if I've lost contact with the entire world. I couldn't surf the net for my project and couldn't use the MSN to message my friends for free. Finally, its back again and I am able to send my friends the information and presentation slides.

Last week was really busy. Friday was visiting the Amara Hotel. The hotel don't look that great from the outside, but the interior surprised me. The place is somewhat like Grand Hyatt and the SilkRoad restaurant reminds me of Mezza9 at Grand Hyatt. Its nice afterall, but the person who brought us around didn't seem patient. The rooms are pretty small but what interests me most was the 'Longest Ice-bar in Singapore'! After that, bought the cheesecake from the restaurant called, Element. They have bit of orange taste and fragrant, what's more to say? It's delicious la.
Saturday was BBQ with my classmates at Tanjong Rhu. I swear to God that the bus 158 is super duper long and this freaking lady kept hogging to the bus-driver when I wanted to ask which stop should I alight. So I was daring enough to estimate when to alight and.... my estimation was somewhat wrong. Flagged for a cab and it costs me 4 bucks after bargaining with the uncle saying that I've lost my way and yah, 50 cents discount. I was the latest to the BBQ but I thank my friend for saving some food for me. Thank You soooo much for calling me and asking where I am and of course, saving the food and cooking them for me! After that, I left immediately to Boat Quay for my cousin's birthday celebration part II. Actually it's kinda weird la, have part 2 for birthday celebration but I guess it was organised to "pay back" those who were not at the dinner. Anyways, I didn't get myself drunk while the others did. After all the singing, playing and bits of drinking, I was really tired and had to help clear up the mess. Got a ride home from my cousins boyfriend's car in the middle of the night near to 4am. Goodnessssss, plus we had to carry my cousin home because she was drunk. Tsk tsk, please don't do that again because the vomit is very very disgusting.
Then came Sunday, the planned-family day. Surprisingly, I woke up at the right time for this family day. Went to Marina Square and Suntec. Nothing much though, we just bought a lot of things and shopped quite a bit. Oh by the way, my parents have agreed to go for a Christmas dinner. Talking about Christmas makes me happy, I love the joyous mood of this festive season and even though I don't celebrate like how the others do, but I seriously hope that it will NEVER be like last year again. Sigh, it will be time to spend some money again. But it will be HOLIDAYS!!!!
Nothing much on Monday so I shan't blog about it.
Tuesday started off with something bad and ended with something funny. I woke up as usual and was on the bus when Val suddenly called. She asked if there was Front Office (FO) = first lesson of the day. I was unsure and before I could give her an answer, another friend of mine called and asked the same question. So I had to resort to the only choice, to call the class-rep and ask. I apologise for calling and waking the class-rep up and sounded harsh because, upon knowing that there's no FO lesson and I was already at the bloody train station, I didn't know if I should go home or head straight to school. Anyways, it continued with contacting a few more others to inform them that there's no FO lesson. However, some already woke up or are on the way to school so we met up for breakfast instead. A very long 2 hours breakfast before the next lesson starts, we discussed a little on the project, they had their convo on the clubbing night on Thursday and so on. When we were back to school, we saw some of our other classmates who also forgot/didn't know about no FO lesson. The lesson started and continued........ till 1.45pm. It was project time at my friend's house. Took cab there and started doing. But before starting, we watched MTV and relaxed ourselves and then watched MTV again before we go home.
Oh wells, it's going to be busier after this week with a major presentation and exam coming the week after. So kan chiong about the holidays but I have yet plan for anything la. Too lazy to work or whatever. Okay, it's time for me to go and take a nap. Laterrrs.
I guess it was a misunderstanding between the few of us and hope it wouldn't affect anything. I know very well that you are under quite alot of stress and that you, as class rep like any other, are doing the job of what two class reps are doing because after what you've told me and what the entire class has seen. Well, the misunderstanding between us happened most probably because I didn't hear what you've told me about the FO lesson, expect for the EL lesson that was being pushed forward without the knowledge of the other classmates. I thank you for that. However, I can say that I was not pushing any blame on anyone after I called to make sure that there's no FO lesson and I did not bear any grudges because of this. And I thank you for actually waking up to pick up the call. You know that when the teacher told us the lesson will be cancelled, I was sitting next to you and then came in the commotion between the teacher and another classmate, which made many confused. After that, there was no more update on any class cancellation other than the one on Friday, which was also the day to hotel visit. The few of us understand that class cancellation normally happens on Tuesday and Thursday but had no idea which was the day for this week. To be honest, I did not gang up with the others to push the blame to you and I guess they didn't really mean to push the blame onto you. Who would be happy to wake up early and go to school without realising that the lesson has been cancelled? I consider you as one of my close friends and someone whom people can pour their hearts out when they have unsolved problems. I know you have some problems in school and sometimes with your family but whatever you are facing in class, I guess most of them in the class are especially school work and projects. We have even discussed about the class and the people in it and agreed to a certain point. I just hope things won't get affected by this small misunderstanding between you, me and some of the others. But bear in mind that you have only a few more weeks to the end of your task before you hand it over to the others. Like what you've told me when I was the class-rep and now I'm saying it to you. Just bear it a little while more and it will be over. I was once a class-rep before you and I know how it feels to be like one. What's worse? I had to take the remote-control every single day. I know we can't please everyone and anyone, but we can try to. I'm not sure if you can still, but I hope you will ask the other class-rep to help you out more. I've given the explanation and hope you understand.
