an oriental twist

Today I just downloaded the new Internet Explorer 7 and its pretty cool. The fonts are much clearer and nicer, the toolbox on top is complitcated but has alot of buttons which you can navigate around. Get it and discover it yourself. It may seem complicated but get used to it slowly. ;)))

School is good today despite having to stay till 6pm. However the good news came after Hotel Security when the Sales teacher announced that we can go home. The whole class 'hoorayed' and rushed out. She added that we might have to do make-up lessons with her but this usually happens when we are behind the other classes she's teaching. Seriously, I have not much idea what exactly is she teaching. All we did was one presentation after another. Now we are in Chapter 6 and all I wrote and highlighted in my book covers less than a chapter. Goodness, its not that I haven't been paying attention but she speaks so softly, her writing is damn small and yah, only a few tranparencies to show us.

Anyways, was asked by one of my friends to help out at VivoCity's TANGS launch event tomorrow. The working hours is good like 5pm to 11pm, get paid at $8 per hour and all you have to do is usher those invited guests for this private function. Dressed in black, smart and trendy. Its good money isn't it? But it was pretty last minute and at that point of time I had nobody to go with me so I rejected the offer. After that I was thinking, "I'm so fated to work with TANGS" which is a good thing I guess. This thought triggers me because I've worked with my "gang" of people at Singapore Marriott, which is owned by Tangs, and were there for 6 months, slogging and at the same time enjoying ourselves there. And this time I'm offered this job at Tangs. Haha, maybe I think too much but its a good thig isn't it? The difference is just one's a hotel and the other's a departmental store. :D

Talking about work, I've been longing to work for some extra pocket money however I do not wish to tire myself out or maybe it's because I'm too lazy to work right now. My cousin mentioned to me about work and was thinking to take up the job or not. It's a pretty tough job as a sales assistant in a store/boutique and this is said because from my little experience with Burberry, I almost died on the spot simply because there's alot of things to do such as folding those messy clothings, tidying up the area customers messed up, arranging the stuffs as neatly and presentable as possible and searching for an item a customer wants from the mountain of clothings as quickly as possible. It's not easy as it seems but its still up to you to decide if you should take up the job. But working at Burberry sounds nice eh? Haha :))) And if you are lucky, you will get to see celebrities!

Tomorrow will be half-day of school and might be meeting my mom and sis to VivoCity. Haha, if I'm going tomorrow, it would be the third time I'm going since it's opening 2 weeks back and twice within the same week.
