an oriental twist
Sunday, August 06, 2006 .::.
The week ended pretty well even though two out of the four days in school were tests days. But I will only be blogging on the more meaningful days like Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Finally got to meet up with two of my closest friend in my current school. My friend fetched us from OUB Plaza and met up another friend at One Fullerton's Bakerzin for lunch. The place was pretty cool despite the scorching sun shining on us. The breeze and the view was good, so it made this lunch even better. We updated one another on things that happened when we didnt meet, our plans for future and so on. It was so fun and cracked jokes everywhere we go. We spent hours there before leaving for Esplanade. Yeah, we walked through the Esplanade Park and wanted to find a place for a drink. Initial plan was to go to the cafe at the library but it was too quiet for us. We had to whisper, so had no choice, we went to Marina Square instead. Saw three of my friends. We didn't call for them primarily because we were too far away from them and secondary, we didn't want to spoil our meet-up. Then we took a cab to Bugis which was super crowded with many young girls and boys. I seldom go Bugis Village because it damn hot, many youngsters there, especially young bengs and lians but whenever I'm there is because I need to get something cheap. Then we went back to Bugis Junction. Shopped at Topman and wanted to get 2 tees at 20%. Went shopping and got 2 very cheap tees at 8 bucks each? Hahaha, good quality too!

I didn't do a lot of things on Saturday other than watching the Grand Finals for Superband. Was wanting to watch the fireworks at Marina Bay but didn't go. And in the end, Charmaine told me that its nothing so special. So thank god, I didn't waste my time and energy to squeeze through the crowds. So NDP is better. Hahaha. My friend's boyfriend was the winner for the competition and won themselves a year contract with Warner Music. That's pretty cool.

Today, went to Marina Square (again!) for shopping. Was very crowded, maybe because of the StarHub event at Suntec City. Bought my favourite curry puffs from Marina Square after the one on Friday, and mom got something she ate in Yilan, Taiwan from a Taiwan's shop at MS. Went over to Suntec and was super crowded too. Did some groceries shopping at Carrefour. From what I can remember, we bought things like... strawberries to make our own chocolate fondue at home, bacon and ham, sausages from Pan Pacific, packs of teriyaki chicken and some others. Had Ben & Jerry's treat from my sis and I finally ate it again after the last one I had in Hong Kong. Had japanese cuisine for dinner at a restaurant at Suntec. Couldn't finish cos I was feeling too good. And my sis bought a bag for me at MS cos my current one is like snapping any time soon. Topman's bag is like not very lasting also. I hope the other Topman bag will not grow mould after contacting the rain the other day. Sigh.

School again tomorrow and its until freaking 6pm. I hate it man and tuesday is another test day. My goodness, plus I have not completed my Housekeeping project. Tourism is over and done with, so it's still okay.

Alright, I have nothing more to blog about. Bye!
