So today our "dearest-beloved" course tutor fulfilled his wish to bring the class to the HSBC Tree Top Walk. The adventurous journey to the bridge was nearly ridiculous because we made to the wrong way 3 times, we had to walk up and down the steep slopes at the Island Country Club, perspire as if it had just rained and there was no bloody reception! Tsk, my right leg is aching a little and both feet soaked into my wet shoes since this afternoon after the heavy downpour when we were making our way out of the forest. But thank god, my mom asked me to bring along an umbrella just in case it rains. It was a pretty good experience walking across the bridge and the way it shook when more people started stepping on it and running. The view was quite good too, overlooking tree canopies and etc.
My parents sent me to Thomson Plaza to meet the rest of the class and many were LATE. Bloody fools, the teacher was late too. So I went walking around with my friend and saw another group of friends. And we waited for everyone to come. And there started the walk to the bridge. It was a killer but quite fun though. The rain dampened the mood lah.
Then I went to meet my sis at AMK for the NDP06 Preview with one of her friends. We were late because it was so last minute and I had to ask her to bring me a red colour shirt to change. We were driven there by her friend's buddy, who didn't get the chance to watch even though he had a ticket because he couldnt find a carpark lot until 7.30pm. So outside the stadium was so crowded, some of the Young Ambassadors of Team Singapore were making balloons for the spectators. My sis and her friend got a flower on their wrist which is cute and then we went to queue for admission.
Once again, I'm back there after 2 years. The feeling each time is so different. We got our funpacks and squeezed through to, hopefully, get a good seat with good view. The show started at about 5 plus, near 6pm because the hosts were already screaming when we enter. Blown up the clappers and see whats inside the funpack. Some are really cool, like the mobile phone torchlight which can be turned and twisted, cap with lights, electric fan and etc. We really enjoyed the preview show, especially the spectacular fireworks display which was just behind us and so up-closed. Kaira Gong wasn't dressed as beautifully during the parade segment but was better during the Grand Finale.
It ended at around 8.30pm and we made our way through the heavy flow of human traffic. We were sent to AMK and my parents picked us up there. I shall post the photos up soon. Not really clear, especially with photos that are zoomed. Taken by my phone's camera because my sis rushed out and forgot to bring the digicam. Sigh, but NDP is always a good experience. I love Singapore! Hahaha...
