an oriental twist
Friday, June 30, 2006 .::.
Its already Friday and just 2 more days I can sleep and wake up late. Life is just so routine, whether one is working or studying. Sometimes, its good to look back into the past and mesmerize that particular moment. We can never change what has happened and neither can we change anything that is going to happen tomorrow. Sigh, sometimes I really think that life is just so sad.

I haven't been actively participating in this year's Singapore sale and I found no reason to. All I can do is to window shop and find nothing to my liking. They keep the best for the next season and dump the ugliest for sale. That's a way of doing business and that is why you see more and more outlets opening up and hence becoming a listed company. I would want to have a company of my own too! That made me wonder why am I doing a Hotel Management course. Do I want to have a hotel empire in future? Ahaha.

My cousin told me she wants to join Singapore Airlines after graduation. I thought so for myself too. When I was young, I longed to become an air-steward. Hey, this is not a joking matter. Every kid has a dream of becoming someone in the future. Like the very common, "I want to be a teacher, doctor, lawyer..." and the list goes on. I pretty much guess all the kids have this thinking too. However, when you grow to a certain age, you will realise that the thing you want to be is not what you want. Like now when I'm doing this course many people find it good, interesting and especially now that the Intergrated Resorts are coming up. Actually, I wanted to complete this course and join the airport. Weird right? It doesn't link with what I am actually doing. Oh well, both hotel and airport are interesting workplaces but which gives you a better career prospect? I seriously don't know. Maybe I should try all of them and tell you the answer. Hahah, it will only happen years later when my blog is already closed down.

Perhaps I should stick on with what I want now, which is to do hotel management. I really love this line even though I have little experience at both Singapore Marriott and The Ritz-Carlton Millenia. Or because I am born to be someone who will serve and satisfy people before they leave for home. Haha, this line sounds a little wrong though.

Oh yah, before I forget, there's something I wanna say. My blog is officially 2 years old. MIRACLE! i can say. I really didn't know I can hold on to this for so so long. But its all thanks to my cousin, Pat for telling me about this and this place thus became a place for me to write down things that has for 2 years. There was a time when I really wanted to close down this place because I really had no time to blog and had nothing to share with people. One thing, my blog seems to have lesser and lesser readers. Haha, just a pathetic few loyal readers since its first publish.

Anyways, I think this is what I really want in the future and my future career can bring me overseas! That's a good thing isn't is? Haha, so my cousin, maybe you will fly over to the country and stay in the hotel I'm working or your brother is working? Hahah, we shall see.
