The Marina Bay Sands
The iconic development will be a centrepiece in the Marina Bay landscape come 2009.
It will house some 2,500 rooms across three hotel towers. With more than 2,300 Garden View Rooms, 100 over Super Deluxe Luxurious Rooms, 12 Presidential Suites and 6 Chairman Suites
And above them, a one-hectare Sky Park offers a sweeping view of the cityscape.
There will also be a 3,000-seat amphitheatre for a nightly Light and Water Show.
Another highlight will be the outdoor Event Plaza that can hold about 10,000 people on the waterfront promenade which will be equipped with hydraulic steps to configure seating arrangements for different kinds of events.
The integrated resort will also have an ArtScience Museum.
Some permanent exhibits could include media displays depicting the artwork of Leonardo Da Vinci.
The resort will also feature two floating crystal pavilions accessible via submerged tunnels.
They will be home to a range of restaurants, micro-breweries and nightspots.
From inside, the visitors and diners will have a good view of Marina Bay.
The Marina Bay Sands will further boost Singapore's convention capacity with a pillarless Grand Ballroom that can house about 8,000 people, which is set to be one of the largest in Asia.
Visitors will also be spoilt for entertainment choices like the large retail malls that will bring brands that are currently unavailable in Singapore like Saks Fifth Avenue, top billing performances and a Grand Arcade with an ice skating rink.
Las Vegas Sands Corp is said to pump in S$6 billion dollars in this project and pay up an amount of S$1.2 billion for the Marina Bay land.
