an oriental twist

if you are one of those very excited-to-read-my-entries readers, im afraid i might just spoil the entire excitment because i think what will be typed below will not be up to the 'exciting' standard. but anyhoo, heres an update from the day i went singing and disappeared.

sunday (19 feb 2006):
my sis and i left house together, she alighted at yck and i alighted at city hall. i roamed around irints in search for my notepad, but ive just realised that i shouldnt waste such a beautiful thing on something useless that is my attachment in which ive decided to use it when school reopens and when i really need a notepad. i made rounds in the store and the new arrival caught my attention when all of a sudden, my current schools classmate tapped my shoulder. in fact he grew wider and i dont know why the hell rivers of english from his mouth came flooding me. then i strolled my way, slowest possible, to marina square. many new shops ive discovered and decided to make marina square one of my "most frequent malls". topshop, topman, zara and some other brands are making marina square their home. charmaine who was in the car with her bf were bloody late and i had to pretend dont know for what by calling people. at that point of time, i could only remember calling pat and charmaine.

had dinner at breeks. everyone was late and i was so embarassed that i didnt even call for a cup of ice-water. i sat there flipping through the menu a million times until they arrive. had our meal and ran for our singing.

it wasnt really a blast though. our vocals were not "open" yet so singing sucked a little at the start. the system was bloody slow as it took about five seconds to load. we almost smash the system and i made a generous complain when the server was serving our drinks. heh, i am very demanding you know. we sang till around 1230 midnight and took a ride from charmaines bf car. we saw a whole carpark lot being occupied by more than 60 bmws i think. all the cars bear the pate number of "SAA ***". damn cool man. i even took photo of it.

monday (20 feb 2006):
operation at the club was very smooth. there wasnt a soul except for us at the club. no guests so we walked round the whole club and gathered at the bar lounge. played bingo! and viewed the city skyline of city hall. some of them were released at 8.15pm. left at 9.40pm and sabotaged my friend on his birthday with whipped-cream. it was crazy outside starbucks.

tuesday (21 feb 2006):
again another day with zero guests. played rounds of bingo! at the bar lounge and slacked for the whole night. was released early at 8.15pm while the other half went off at 9.50pm like that. had iced-cocoa at starbucks while waiting for my friends.

wednesday (22 feb 2006):
operation was crazy. i was managing a room of 7 people with my friend. the vip room was occupied by the clubs president. the bar lounge was converted into a 'mini-dining' hall of 3 tables of 12. chaotic at the lounge. they came from the asian aerospace so there were different nationalities. it was really a disaster. and at the end of the day we had to change everything back to normal for the next day. i ran out of energy, really.

thursday (23 feb 2006):
had a function in the combined function rooms 2, 3 and 4. it was some career seminar and the time spent there was freaking slow. i couldnt believe that it could be that boring. there was simply nothing to do and we only had things to do when guests request for ice water or drinks. if not i would have gone insane. its boring shit. but the ceo is a nice man. and some of the other management staff of the financial adviser company.

and i think thats about it for this entry. the beancurd at golden shoe is good, the ice-milo dinosaur is fantastic and im going for more and some other flavours soon, the $2 "pick-a-snack" at bk is almost becoming my daily before-work snack, starbucks is a little quiet hangout place and thats all. and also the mount 35th floor which is the place for our lockers and toilets is damn scary. theres been rumours going around saying that its haunted and blahblah. theres even a bullseye in the guys toilet for guys to shoot their urine. what the hell man. i managed to buy home mcdonalds milkshake. its good but not enough of the flavour. very creamy.

i will be back for more updates. laters.
