an oriental twist

the 420th entry happened to be typed on the first day of Chinese New Year and also implies that currently my blog has an entry of 421 since its running from 18 June 2004. pretty cool huh? i mean having to type so many chapters of my life in a website itself isnt that easy like doing a topic essay and to maintain.

well well, lets start with CNY this year. it has been unexpectedly good because of the matter that happened 3 weeks back. but i guess its better to remain this way and not brood over it anymore, think on the bright side. so CNY was just non-stop house-visits, eat and drink. seriously nothing could stop my mouth from munching when i see those goodies and food placed on the dining table ready for lunch or dinner. its irresistible to see the food calling for me. managed to receive quite a number of red packets and think its enough already. and whats most important during this festive season is that i can meet up with my relatives and my cousins for some catching-up sessions. playing with pokercards and gossiping around, their company is fantastic.

got back to work on wednesday and its damn tiring. i worked for bloody 16 hours to replace the few ive missed during my leave. if i were to run that day, i think not only will the shoe's sole drop, my toes will start falling one by one and my knee will tear and break my leg. seriously, the make-up shift is something NO ONE will EVER wish for cos it suck big time. suck to the max ok.

and today i finally completed the cocktail theory test and hope i can pass so that i wont have to redo it. pray hard the last minute effort i put in would be of help. sometimes, last minute work just works so well that it defeats not-last minute work.

then i headed to orchard to collect my yu sheng from Wan Hao at Marriott but before that i made my way to Mos Burger at NAC for a takeaway. orchard was so quiet and kinda empty. went to Marriott, saw Carrie and chatted for awhile, then passed something to my friend there and was invited to drop by at the F&B office. oh man, i miss the back of the house there even though i complained so much about it the last time. so i "sneaked" my way in like any other associates and went to the F&B office to look for my ex-manager. was there for an hour or so for a chat. shes one damn good manager we didnt expect her to be so good when we first met her. anyways, we went up to the newly-renovated poolside and it was GORGEOUS! damn, the poolside is damn beautiful now with some additional of 8 rooms or so with spa concepts. the pool is dark blue in colour, Garden Terrace closed down to become Pool Grill, and imagining having a 5-step stairway to ur room with a little balcony at the side and facing the swimming pool. its just like those resort and spa but built in a traditional 5-star hotel property. it really amazed me when i saw it. i couldnt believe the used-to-be not so nice poolside to become something like that. moreover there is also a suite located at the poolside and has a private jacuzzi inside. its superb i tell you.

i guess this trip back to Marriott not only brought me back to the time i worked there but also knew about the changes there ever since i left.

just returned from an yu sheng feast cum old-neighbours reunion dinner. the food was special and nice. i love the dessert which is damn unique. haha, i guess i will put on weight this time. i really hope for some weight.

hello there. welcome!
you are now browsing through the entries where the author captures every single moment of his life. it may not be anything simple and neither will be it too extravagant. the entries are made up of his family, friends and people around. you may just be one of those who can help continue to keep this blog moving on. thank you and have a nice day.
