an oriental twist
Tuesday, September 27, 2005 .::.
the severe ache in my head, left side of the skull finally went off. it was only off until the day i went town with my family, surprisingly. perhaps its a symptom that will act up when im away from town for a couple of days. counting back, its only 8 days i havent been there, and there it happens. weird though.

anyways, the new subjects we are learning dont seem as interesting. things to do with food, computers, cooking and blahblah. and summing up to conclusion, food equals to beverages, mis equals to part of fsm (cos the teacher is such a bloody joker), for the rest i have yet seen nor met the teachers but one thing for sure, we will be learning the basics of ritz-carlton and marriott. this book " managing the guest experience" says it all, with walt disney and stuff. wordy, but looks pretty interesting.

today was however, the worst day ever. the scene when opinions clashed, arguements and the unhappiness that goes across the room, this was what happened few hours ago in class. its really stupid to hurt one another over this silly thing, seriously.

we have an event to do, planning and everything by the class ourselves. however, when the election of committee members started, a group of friends chose people from within their group, or to be fair, some others they are very close to. and for some, they were merely sabotaging their friends and thinking that it was for fun. and when the names of members were up on board, some were not really happy. honestly, i can state reasons as to why i disagree to this way of electing the member. not that i yearn to be part of the committee, but im just trying to be fair. i even suggested to teacher to elect members another time, but more than half the class opposed. sad to say, but this was part of the cause of todays incident.

reasons why i to a certain extent, STRONGLY oppose:

- not every student is present today. there were a few absentees
- the members being named were within a group of friends
- not every one has a say in class, afraid of being outcast in future
- it was not serious, some form of sabotaging when selecting members
- did not ask if there are any objections from the class

what i think was, not every one has a say in class. for this, you can see the slight difference among this and the other group. splitting up into colours, nationality, languages are things we often see in school and at work, thus causing the divergent idea each of us have in mind. then, if that particular person wants to voice out his/her opinions, a group of peoples unhappiness over the former's opnions will influence the rest of the class. and so that particular person will be the outcast, avoided by the people in class and whatever.

i mean we have to be serious over this matter, even though its just one event to plan for. sounds easy but tough job. i sense playing-a-fool attitude when selecting the members. And mind you, if this event doesnt work out well, it not only affect your result, it affects everyones result though it stands only 20percent of the overall.

im not putting blame or whatever shit to anyone. but what i said is more or less about fairness, and definitely i agree to what they say "try not to choose people who are always absent from school as one of the members". which is true. do not look at things just because of best friends or good friends or some close pals, look at things as a whole and see how it will affect the rest in future and the consequences you will face. like some might be unhappy throughout the whole process, hence dont want to help in the event just because of the election. and hopefully, i myself will make a wise choice in choosing who should take up the job and to see if he/she has what it takes to be the committee members.

anyways, no matter what the result is going to be like for tomorrow, i will support the decision and hope that nothing clashes with anything like how it happened today. hopefully the people chosen can really take up the challenge, and in any cases i guess the class will help along the way to making it a success. =)

oh, tuition at 4.30pm. shucks, its gonna be boring and cos of this, i cant join the rest of them to singing session. ahhhhh.... heck it. too many people and i hate snatching mic from people. haha. laters.
