an oriental twist

beverage class was about port and sherry wines. i couldnt really catch what the teacher was talking about because nowadays, they seem to rush through everything. not explaining into details. whatever, i passed my wine of france test, 15/19. cool right, i was damn proud of myself.

bar showmanship, we had a simple uncounted test. just tried to fill up every possible names of any alcoholic drinks. i forgot everything when the paper was passed down. shit. had cocktail practical, and tasted all the drinks. rushed home after school.

met the class for dinner outside somerset. we are having a class dinner at the schools hotel. everyone was well dressed. diem wore an evening gown-like dress. alright, every guys and girls were well dressed. i wore a RL polo tee and jeans, thats all. and we settled down at the restaurant. comments on the hotel: lousy, very.

so i sat with erica, soo yeon and louise. the seats were mostly for 2s or 4s. damn funny, we had pieces after pieces of bread with the lurpak butter. the walnut bread tastes like some nut crunch cereal. was given the blue lagoon drink, which tasted more of sprite. and the restaurant was only filled with our class. it was damn noisy throughout. took photos, videos taken by erica with her gone-through-thick-and-thin phone 7610, this fat lady chef came to mr loh(our course tutor), and she was so much like the wife of mr loh. she punched, pinched, hit and said wanna slap mr loh. haha, damn funny. he claims that he has many lovers. oh man.

appertiser was some salad with eggs, tuna and potato. its damn sour and not very nice.

soup was some thick cream soup with a cheese springroll. it tasted too thick and not fragrant enough. the springroll was the best.

main course, mine was fish. pretty good, but still below standard. the sauce is like the one in fillet o fish. pasta was average.

black forest cake, i only ate half. finished the peach and the strawberry cream thingy. mr loh got his plate written by the chef with, " i love you, hunny pie." haha, the nearby ones like my table burst into laughter. and again, photos and stuff. the atmosphere of the restaurant was ruined by us. cos we had the wine menu first burned by emilias table. then, we laughed and said the chao-tahed smell in the restaurant. and we got ours burnt too. teacher came to tell us to stop burning the things there. haha. rem, the previous entry i said i will burn down the place if the food is not nice?

anyways, it ended at 9 plus. damn funny there, even though the food sucks.

and some went to play pool at cineleisure. some went to chinablack. we actually wanted to go to indochine, but everyones tired and wanted to go home. so we walked from somerset to orchard. took a stroll with 3 friends. and took cab at ngee ann city back home.

the journey went this way....

ngee ann city ---> duchess avenue ---> kim keat rd ---> woodlands cres

fortunately, we need not stop at third avenue. if not, i wont be back that early.

it costs 25.80 for the cab, inclusive of the booking fee. cos the cab queue at nac was damn long. we laughed at the teachers in class, talked about the class and blahblah.

for tomorrows class, i doubt many are coming. all went clubbing or something else. the whole day was in a holiday mood, though i didnt want to go this afternoon cos i hate rushing.

will upload the photos if i get them. had a great day with the class afterall. cheers! =)

and oh, erica and jeremy scoff at my k700i and soo yeons phone. cos our resolution isnt as great as their 7610. sigh. haha.
