an oriental twist
Wednesday, June 08, 2005 .::.
tuition was cancelled today due to some private matters with the tutor. anyhow, i felt quite relieved after reading the sms sent by my tutor. so again, i spent meaningless day at home. either on tv or com, thats life when you dont have school and work.

and to announce, 10 more days and my blog is gonna be one years old. hope i can continue maintaining it well, of cos with the help of the loyal readers. and indeed, there are people who are reading my blog entries, which is kinda incredible. the languages here are so broken and the contents are full of boring shit. im just wondering if there were anyone whom actually dozed off after reading my blog. =)

but i can say, near to a year of blogging, it can be a chore. very boring and tiring. sometimes, i even feel like closing down the entire site. what i can tell myself is, ive done a great job by keeping this well. which initially, i thought i couldnt. i was too harsh to have one, after seeing pats blog. *weihao pats his own back, telling himself a good job done*

alright, i shall leave those words for 18 june itself. a small "celebration" right here.

was watching the channel u 11.30pm show. its some cheating stuff and the person went missing. everythings a mystery, it appeared on tv, newspapers and through all medias and people still get cheated. what are the causes? are they too naive? or they greed over the huge cash prize? or they think its something worth to go for?

those cheats bluffed their way via email and the latest sms. they emailed/smsed the victim, telling them that they have won a prize (which is so huge and attractive), and wants the victim to bring some grand cash to collect their prize. they had to go all the way to the destination which are overseas to claim it.

so this victim actually sent the sum of money over to that so-called international company, in order to claim his 40k prize. he sent quite a huge sum over, but he got no reply after that. so he decided to pack his bag, leave for the country. his mum asked him what happened, he said nothing and wanted to leave for thailand then to states, to get the money he sent over. he returned his mum a call and told her that hes in states, queueing in the bank and what he received from the company was a bounced cheque. and from then, his mum got no answer from her son. no calls, no email, he went missing then.

so the tv station with the victims mum seeked help from this association in spore. and they found out that the victim did not leave spore at all (2003). they tracked using the phone bills which stated that he made called to thailand, spain, nigeria and ivory coasts in africa. but all calls were made in a few seconds, which was suspected that the victim was not able to contact that cheat as the number given to victim was wrong.

thats about the story. the victim had been missing for 2 years and had not given any reply since his last call to his mum at the bank. where do you think he had gone to? he packed his stuff, took his passport and said he left for thailand then to states. but the phone bills, with the outgoing roaming calls, showed that he did not leave at all.

they went to the ministry of foreign affairs (mfa), but the victims mum did not reveal much of what she had dicussed with mfa. so everything is still left unknown, a mystery.

oh wells, people have been going missing. everything is unknown, no clues were left either. what on earth happened? its so scary nowadays.

just wanna share a quote with you.

Enjoy the successes that you have, and don't be too hard on yourself when you don't do well. Too many times we beat up on ourselves. Just relax and enjoy it.
