an oriental twist

had tuition early in the morning like 11am. was supposed to be 10, but the teacher was held up with things in school. anyways, it ended at 1pm. was fuming mad then. i havent been to orchard for a long time. sigh. called pat, she said she couldnt go out cos of philip.

after tuition, watched tv and slacked. till now. oh yes, the radio now, the deejay. prefect! i love it when this deejay comes back and host the programme. been a long time since i last heard her hosting the late night.

working schedule got totally screwed up. whats wrong with the people at ritz man. i gotta reach the hotel on monday and tuesday at 6am. how to get there? transport provided by the rich hotel = cab = FREE. so, kinda saved up my transportation fees which will total up to $4 a day. worse than going to orchard.

by the way, if you've read the straits times for today, look at the DUBAI section. the contents are amazing. more than what i expected.

honestly, all along to me, dubai is a lousy country, desert land, islamic belief and blah. but only till i realised about the existence of the burj al arab, everything sort of changed. no longer a lousy desert country.

burj al arab, i guess all of you should know whats that. the world's tallest hotel, soaring 321 metres above sea, on a man-made land at the coast of dubai. a 202 all-suite hotel. world's first graded 7-star hotel, with real gold-leaf interior decorations. i meanm its real GOLD! at every part of the hotel! from the entrance, to the lobby, to the restaurants, to the suites, to the toilets! oh man. its damn expensive right? anyways, i was hoping to work there. hah, dream on.

its damn amazing. other than the burj al arab hotel, they have a new resort, also on a man-made land, but! here it comes, the most heartbreaking part. its in a palm tree shape and can be seen from outerspace. amazing right? i was stunned. really. its the dubai palm resort. 60 luxurious hotels, 4000 exclusive residential villas, 1000 unique water homes, 5000 shoreline apartments, marinas, water theme parks, restaurants, malls and etc.

next, if you havent notice. another heartbreaking one. called the world. made up of some 300 islands looking like a blurred vision of the planets nations emerging from the waters off the coast of dubai, forming an exclusive and sandy world. but for this one, it cant be seen from outerspace, but only seen from air. so its still quite amazing right?

oh wells, i cant expect this kind of things happening in singapore. but we'll have the casinos and adventureland. coming in 2009, which will boost the tourism in singapore. hopefully it will be something as amazing as those in dubai.

err, to end this long entry, im going out with my family tomorrow. been a long time. and also, ive changed the displays and some of the things in my room. heh, hope it will be nice! and i just found a really nice font.

alright, will try to upload the pictures of the "amazing dubai" later. hope it will be as heartbreaking as it is to me. just pray... laters.

hello there. welcome!
